CEDOS is a Local Authority led network for economic development professionals. We support our members to:
- Disseminate and take on good practice,
- Understand the implications of policy and economic change for their areas,
- Develop their contacts and networks within the profession,
- Make their voices heard by joining together with other Authorities on key issues,
- Facilitating relationships with Civil Servants and Think Tanks
“High quality and well-informed Local Authority economic development is critical to local growth, economic inclusion and a national economic recovery.”
A CEDOS Membership over the last year has given access to members to:
A range of quality workshops and learning activities, planned to be highly relevant to Local Authorities, including:
- Six annual Lunch and Learn Sessions, covering key topical policy issues relevant to the profession including Town Centres, Devolution, Labour Market Trends and
- An annual study visit and networking event
- Ongoing monthly Community Renewal Fund Forums
- Ongoing monthly UK Shared Prosperity Fund Forums
- Developing Quality Business Cases workshop
- Economic Development Benchmarking workshop
Input, influence and access our active research programmes, covering:

As a network, we also consistently broker relationships for members with other Authorities on areas of specific interest and to help collaborate on common challenges.
“There has never been a more important time to be a member.”
Membership is for a 2-year period and the cost per annum is presently £750. As a not-for-profit network, all membership fees are re-invested in supporting our members.
Members can pay two single payments per annum or two years combined in a single invoice. Membership of CEDOS is at an organisational level and we welcome all participants from across individual members. We are an active network and encourage members to reach out and engage with each other.
To discuss membership, our offer and what it might enable your Authority to do, please email Rob Wadsworth, CEDOS Coordinator, at info@cedos.org.
