CEDOS AGM and University of Sheffield visit
The CEDOS Lunch and Learn session and AGM will take place on the 25th November 2022 and will feature a hybrid AGM session from 12pm – 12.30pm and an afternoon visit to the University of Sheffield’s Translation Research Centres.
Translation Research Centres have been designed to provide state-of-the-art equipment and access to experienced researchers and technicians for business and SMEs. Their purpose is to translate high level, fundamental research into new products and process across key industries including energy, civil engineering, manufacturing and mechanical engineering and materials development.
The itinerary for the day is follows:
- 12pm – meet at Sheffield University (TERC) – they have a meeting room and we can run a hybrid AGM for those that can’t make it on the day
- 12.30pm – short lunch break
- 1pm – Translational Energy Research Centre – (covering zero-carbon energy, hydrogen, bioenergy and sustainable aviation fuels research)
- 1.30pm – Laboratory for Verification and Validation (acoustics and engineering)
- 2pm – iCAIR (Civil engineering – focussing on water and infrastructure innovation and testing)
- 2.30pm – 3pm – Royce Centre (new and hybrid materials manufacturing)
There will be no charge for members attending the event and places are not limited to only one person per member. If any non-CEDOS members wish to attend please email info@cedos.org.
If you cannot make it to the University of Sheffield, we would still be delighted if you could attend the AGM which will be held in hybrid format, with a link distributed nearer the time.
The location of the AGM at the Translational Energy Research Centre (TERC) is accessible via this link. The facility is just off Junction 33 of the M1. There is a pay and display car park close to the site.

If you could let us know in advance if you plan to attend either the visit to the University or just the online AGM at info@cedos.org so we know numbers in advance. Please get in touch if you have any further questions about the visit or AGM.
